Happy Birthday, Dricon® FRT Wood!

Get out the cake plates, and don't worry about candle flames. Dricon® fire retardant treated wood from Arch Wood Protection is 30 years old. It has been used without change in formulation since its first installation in 1981. Dricon® FRT wood is an alternative to construction materials classified as noncombustible for weather-protected applications. It has been primarily used for commercial and multi-family applications where codes require, but now it is now also being used in single-family residences where homeowners desire additional fire protection. |
"We're thrilled to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Dricon® FRT wood. It has been involved in countless projects in the U.S. and around the world," said Rodney Hardison of Arch Wood Protection which manufactures the fire retardant used in the wood. "For three decades, it has served the construction industry well, and its use is continuing."
