The Lonza Wood Group welcomes Mike Wiechec, as National Sales Manager. Mike joined Lonza more than 4 years ago and has previously served in the Lonza Material Performance and Protection division as Sr. Account Manager and Global Key Account Manager where he was responsible for developing growth at strategic key accounts and distributor partners. Mike has a B.S. in Chemistry from Illinois State University and an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.

“During my 13+ year tenure in the chemical industry, I have learned a lot about the vast technologies available but what resonates strongly with me are the people I’ve met along the way and the relationships cultivated.“ Mike has been able to find success in Sales Management with a strong focus on the individual. “In this digital age where many people’s primary mode of communication is a text or email, I’ve found the value in a face-to-face meeting or simply picking up the phone.” Mike is looking forward to the new experience in managing the Wood Sales Team and is confident that with the strong support Lonza is known for throughout the industry, the Wood Group will continue its success in bringing new solutions and partnerships to the business.

Mike finds that managing his household has proven to be the biggest challenge yet. “With three children under the age of 7, the house is a constant juggle of problem solving and logistical management, but in the end, it is the most rewarding.”
